Marc Marquez

 ABOUT

Born on the 17th February 1993, Spanish rider Marc Marquez  made his debut in the grand prix paddock aged 15, racing for the Repsol KTM team in the 125cc class. Making records from a young age, Marquez won the 125cc championship in 2010 before moving into Moto2 for 2011. In just his second season in the class, Marquez won the Moto2 championship in 2012, earning a MotoGP seat for the 2013 season. In his rookie campaign, Marquez won the MotoGP Championship with Repsol Honda and has continued to succeed, winning his 9th championship in 2025 racing for the Ducati Lenovo team.

Francesco Bagnaia

 ABOUT

Born on the 14th January 1997, Italian Francesco Bagnaia made his Grand Prix debut in the 2013 Moto3 championship, riding for Honda. Spending 3 seasons with 2 wins and 7 podiums in the Moto3 class, Bagnaia made the step up to Moto2 in 2017, racing for the VR46 team. With 4 podiums in his rookie season, he claimed his first title in his second Moto2 season, earning him a seat with Pramac Ducati in the 2019 MotoGP championship. He late moved to his current factory Ducati seat, and to  date Bagnaia has claimed 2 MotoGP titles with the Ducati Lenovo team, his most recent in 2023.

 Born on the 20th April 1999, French Rider Fabio Quartararo made his debut in the grand prix paddock aged 15, racing for the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Honda team in Moto3. Quartararo moved into Moto2 in 2017 and secured 1 victory, 1 pole and 2 podiums before progressing into MotoGP in 2019. Claiming the title of rookie of the year in his debut campaign, Quartararo went on to win the 2021 MotoGP Championship in his first season racing for the Monster Energy Yamaha team.

 ABOUT

Born on the 8th December 1995, Spanish Rider Alex Rins made his debut in the grand prix paddock in 2012, racing for the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Honda team in Moto3, claiming 8 victories in the class. Rins moved into Moto2 in 2015 winning 4 races before making the step up to MotoGP in 2017. With his first five podiums coming in 2018, Alex won his first of  6 MotoGP races at the Circuit of The Americas in 2019 aboard a Suzuki. He made the switch to the Monster Energy Yamaha Team in 2024.

Joan Mir

 ABOUT

Born on the 1st September 1997, Spanish Rider Joan Mir debuted in Moto3 in 2015 as a wildcard. 2 full seasons in the class followed, with Mir winning the 2017 title in a dominant season with Leopard Racing, picking up 10 wins en-route to the title. 2018 was his rookie season in Moto2 with impressive results including a 3rd place in his 5th race. This was enough to earn Mir a MotoGP seat with Suzuki, for 2019. 2020 was the greatest of his career to date, with consistency proving key in sealing the title despite only having 1 victory in Valencia.

Luca Marini

 ABOUT

Born on the 10th August 1997, Italian Luca Marini made his Grand Prix debut in 2013 as a Moto3 wildcard, before wildcarding in Moto2 in 2016. His height played a role in him moving to Moto2 permanently in 2016 with the Forward Team instead of spending a season in Moto3. Spending 5 full seasons in Moto2, Marini found form in 2018 and 2019, picking up his first podiums and victories. A title challenge followed in 2020, eventually finishing 2nd before his graduation to MotoGP in 2021. Yet to finish on the top step of the podium, his MotoGP highlight is a 2nd place in the 2023 American Grand Prix.

 ABOUT

Born on the 25th May 2004, Spanish rider Pedro Acosta made his Grand Prix debut in 2021 in the Moto3 Championship. Finishing 2nd in his first race before winning the next race, Acosta won the Moto3 title in his rookie season, the first to achieve such a feat since Loris Capirossi in 1990. He graduated to Moto2 in 2022 where he spent 2 seasons, winning the championship in 2023. A move followed to GasGas Tech3 in MotoGP aboard a KTM in 2024 where a stellar rookie season was enough to earn him a factory seat at Red Bull KTM. Yet to win a MotoGP race, Acosta has already gained 8 podiums in his MotoGP career.

Brad Binder

 ABOUT

Born on the 11th August 1995, South African Brad Binder made his Grand Prix debut in 125cc class in 2011 as a replacement rider. He became a full time fixture in the paddock as the 125cc category was replaced with Moto3 in 2012, eventually becoming the Moto3 World Champion in 2016, winning his first races in the same season. Binder spent the next 3 seasons in Moto2, becoming the runner up in 2019. Moving up to MotoGP in 2020, Binder won his first race in 2020. He has spent his entire MotoGP career in the Red Bull KTM team, picking up 2 victories and 11 podiums.

Born on the 12th November 1998, Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi debuted as a wildcard in the 2015 Moto3 World championship twice, before permanently joining the Grand Prix paddock in 2017, riding for Mahindra. Finishing 3rd in the 2019 Moto3 Championship, Bezzecchi rose to Moto2 in 2019 with KTM however only found real success moving to the VR46 racing team in 2020. 2 Impressive seasons followed earning Bezzecchi a MotoGP ride. To date, he has 4 wins, including 1 for current team, Aprilia, alongside multiple sprint wins.

Born on the 29th January 1998, Spanish Rider Jorge Martin made his debut in the Grand Prix paddock in 2015, riding a Mahindra. He rose to prominence in the Moto3 class in 2017, known for his qualifying speed. 2018 saw Martin wrap up the Moto3 title with 7 victories before joining the Red Bull KTM Ajo team for 2019 and 2020. His second season saw him finish 5th in the world, picking up 2 victories along the way before a move to MotoGP team Pramac Ducati.Martin reached the pinnacle of MotoGP in 2024, winning the title.

Fermín Aldeguer

ABOUT

Born on the 5th April 2005, Spanish Rider Fermin Aldeguer made his Grand Prix debut as a replacement rider in Moto2 in 2021 for the Speed Up Team. Showing high levels of potential, he became a full time rider for the final four rounds of the same season before three years in the category followed 3rd in the standings in 2023, Aldeguer did enough to earn a MotoGP ride with the Gresini team in 2025. In his rookie MotoGP season, he claimed his first victory in Indonesia, becoming the second youngest ever winner of a MotoGP race.

Born on the 23rd April 1996, Spaniard Alex Marquez made his Grand Prix debut as a wildcard in the 2012 Moto3 Season before joining the paddock full time in the same year, from the Indianapolis Grand Prix onwards. 2014 saw Marquez take the Moto3 title as he ascended to Moto2 in 2015. Becoming victorious for the first time in 2017, 3 seasons near the front culminated in the 2019 Moto2 title as he moved up to MotoGP in 2020 with Repsol Honda. 2025 has been his standout season, with multiple victories and a 2nd finish in the championship.

Jack Miller

ABOUT

Born on the 18th January 1995, Australian Jack Miller made his Grand Prix debut in 2011, racing as a wildcard and replacement rider in the 125cc Championship. He made his full time debut in 2012 in the Moto3 championship, and became the runner up in 2014, winning 6 races along the way. Skipping Moto2, Miller Graduated to MotoGP in 2015 with the LCR Honda team before moving to the MarcVDS team for 2016, where he won his first of 4 premier class races, and became the first satellite rider to win in a decade. After spending time at Ducati and KTM, Miller moved to Pramac Yamaha for 2025.

Miguel Oliveira

Born on the 4th January 1995, Portuguese Rider Miguel Oliviera debuted in the Grand Prix paddock during the 2011 125cc season, before racing in Moto3 between 2012 and 2015. In his final season in Moto3, Oliveira finished 2nd in the championship after a late surge for the title. He graduated to Moto2 in 2016 , however it was the 2017 and 2018 seasons where he shone, finishing 3rd and 2nd in the championship standings respectively. 2019 saw Oliveira enter the premier class. His finest moment came in the 2020 season which saw him become the first Portuguese MotoGP race winner ever.

Franco Morbidelli

ABOUT

Born on the 4th December 1994, Italian Franco Morbidelli debuted in the Grand Prix paddock for the first time during the 2013 Moto2 season whilst racing as a wildcard. He joined the Moto2 class full time in 2014 and spent 3 seasons slowly improving before winning the title in 2017, which earned Morbidelli a MotoGP seat with MarcVDS Honda in 2018. He then changed manufacturer, moving to Petronas Yamaha for 2019 and mounted a title challenge with them a season later in 2020. In the following season he upgraded to the factory team midway through, replacing Maverick Vinales. Morbidelli struggled to find form after injury and moved to his current VR46 team in 2024, claiming his first podium in 2025, almost 4 years after his most recent.

Fabio Di Giannantonio

ABOUT

Born on the 10th October 1998, Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio made his Grand Prix debut in 2015 as a replacement rider in the Moto3 category before becoming a full time rider in 2016. He spent 4 years in the category, finishing as runner up in 2018 as teammate Jorge Martin secured the title.For 2019, Di Giannantonio moved into Moto2 where he spent 3 seasons. Although unable to replicate his Moto3 form, Di Giannantonio was able to take 8 podiums including 1 victory in the class, before graduating into MotoGP for 2022. Despite a weak rookie season, his form slowly started to improve in 2023, with a podium in Australia and victory in Qatar saving his MotoGP career. He joined the VR46 Racing team in 2024, as their first rider to not come via their academy.

Raul Fernandez

ABOUT

Born on the 23rd October 2000, Spanish Rider Raul Fernandez made his Grand Prix debut in 2016 as a replacement rider in the final Moto3 race of the season, before making multiple wildcard appearances in 2017 and 2018. He made his full time debut in 2019 and finished 4th in the Moto3 championship in 2020. His rookie season in Moto2 saw him finish 2nd in the world, winning 8 races and finishing just 4 points off the title. He graduated to MotoGP in 2022 however initially struggled, finishing no higher than 12th in his first season. 2025 was Fernandez’ breakthrough season with consistent top 10 finishes, before he got his maiden podium and victory at the Australian Grand Prix.

Ai Ogura

ABOUT

Born on the 26th January 2001, Japanese rider Ai Ogura debuted in the Grand Prix Paddock during the 2018 Moto3 season as a wildcard, before signing for Honda Team Asia permanently in 2019. Despite not winning a race in 2020, consistency allowed him to fight for the championship, ultimately finishing 3rd. In 2021 he moved to Moto2, continuing to be consistent even as a rookie. In his second season he finished as the runner up, losing the championship in the final 2 rounds. Injury stopped a battle in 2023, however Ogura returned to form in 2024, sealing the title and earning a place in MotoGP. Oguras’ most impressive result was a fifth place in his first ever race in the premier class.

Maverick Vinales

ABOUT

Born on the 12th January 1995, Spanish rider Maverick Vinales debuted in the Grand Prix paddock during the 2011 125cc season. Finishing 3rd in the standings in his rookie season, as the class was replaced with Moto3, he continued to succeed, winning the 2013 championship. He spent his one and only season in Moto2 during 2014 where he won his second ever race in the class and earnt a Factory MotoGP ride for Suzuki in 2015. To date he has claimed 10 wins in the class for 3 manufacturers. He now races for the KTM Tech3 team, his 4th different manufacturer in the premier class.

Enea Bastianini

ABOUT

Born on the 30th December 1997, Italian Enea Bastianini made his Grand Prix Debut in 2014, racing in Moto3. He spent 5 years in the class, with a best finish of 2nd in the standings during the 2016 season. He moved up to Moto2 in 2019, and won the Moto2 Championship in 2020, earning him a MotoGP seat in 2021 for satellite Ducati team, Avintia. Outperforming the bike, he moved to Gresini for 2022, winning the first race of the season and finishing 3rd in the championship. Bastianini spent the next 2 seasons in Ducati’s factory squad before moving to KTM Tech 3 for 2025.

Johann Zarco

ABOUT

Born on the 16th July 1990, French Rider Johann Zarco debuted in the Grand Prix paddock for the first time during the 2009 season in the 125cc class. He stayed in the category for 3 seasons, finishing 2nd in the standings in 2011. Moving up to Moto2 in 2012, Zarco went on to claim 2 Moto2 championships back to back in 2015 and 2016 in record breaking style, and enough to earn a MotoGP ride for Tech3 Yamaha. In his 7th season in the premier class, he took his first victory. His finest moment came in 2025, winning his home grand prix and becoming the first French rider to do so since 1954.

Somkiat Chantra

ABOUT

Born on the 15th December 1998, Thai Rider Somkiat Chantra made his Grand Prix debut in 2018, as a wildcard at his home grand prix in Moto3. Impressively finishing 9th, Chantra earnt himself a Moto2 seat for the following season with Honda Team Asia, where he would stay for 6 seasons. During these 6 seasons, Chantra picked up 2 victories and had a best placed championship finish of 6th in 2023. In 2025 LCR Honda recruited him to their MotoGP team, becoming the first Thai rider to feature in the premier class. With a best placed finish of 13th, Chantra is will leave the Grand Prix paddock at the end of 2025.
